Manual

The manual provides a comprehensive guide to the program. It is divided into 9 modules: 4 modules cover gross motor skills, 4 modules on fine motor skills and 1 module focuses on social/emotional development.

Each module is colour coded and the activities within a module are further divided into three colour variations to indicate the 3 levels of difficulty:
easy, medium and difficult.

Information on the rationale behind the program together with tips on how to include Animal Fun within the existing curriculum is also provided.

The Term Lesson Planner and an Individual Progress Report (included at the back of the Manual) are useful tools to assist in program planning and to monitor the progression of the group and individual children as required.

Set of Activity Flashcards

The set of 97 A5 laminated Flashcards replicate each activity from the manual with a pictorial clue on the front and easy to follow instructions for the movement on the reverse.

Once the children have learnt the movement, the pictorial clue is usually sufficient for them to remember the activity. The cards are particularly useful for children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

The wide variety of animals represented also allows for additional learning experiences and integration into language, literacy and investigative learning experiences.

“How Are You Feeling Today?” Pack

Each pack contains 6 x A5 Cards plus an A4 sized laminated Thermometer Card.

These resources provide educators, parents and practitioners with an effective tool to help children identify various emotions in themselves and in others and to begin to understand that all emotions are a completely normal part of life – and that they come and go and change in intensity over time.

Animal Fun@Home book

The Early Years Learning Framework emphasises the importance of parents as partners in their child’s education. This workbook gives children the opportunity to share with parents, siblings and friends some of the Animal Fun activities they have learnt whilst also providing them with additional home challenges to extend the learning experience.

The book also contains valuable information for parents on the importance of motor skill development and gives them tips and ideas on how they can assist their child to improve their skills.
